I have a percussion rifle inherited. Not sure of caliber, but I have pictures. On the lock there is a name, RIDDLE, it has a curly maple stock. My mother was an antique dealer and she gave it to me. Not sure of the age. But curious about where it came from, area, who built it if possible.

Not sure that is an original, the barrel and fore stock don't look right and the trigger doesn't fit the trigger guard...There were plenty of guns put together in the 1950s-1970s, some with parts from originals and the owners tried to pass them off as originals...

The stock doesn't meet the butt plate at the top properly and the lock panels are rounded off. Major sand & refinish years ago?
I used white chalk on the lock to help the ingraving stand out on the stock. If you could see it up close there is no sanding marks on it.
