This slender antique double barrel percussion shotgun has 15 Gauge 27" Damascus twist barrels that measure .680/675" in the muzzle, walnut stock, and engraved nickel silver furniture. This English made double barrel shotgun has Birmingham proof marks on the bottom of the barrels. The English walnut stock has scattered handling marks from 150+ years of handling and use, it also has a very neatly spliced in wood behind the breech. The back action locks are engraved Smith London, both locks have a crisp action. Trigger reach is 14 1/2" and 13 3/4" and weights 6.1 pounds. Both bores are in good condition and are very shootable. The breech end of the barrels are stamped with post 1813 Birmingham View and proof marks. The barrels are full original length, with tightly fitted ribs and pipes, and they retain the ramrod catch. The gun comes with a wooden and Delrin rod. Two modern nipple have been fitted to the breech ready for shooting. The right side is a 1/4-28 nipple and the left side is a .265-28 nipple. I will include some accessories with the gun which I will show in the pictures. Priced at $1700 shipped.

Accessories include 2 new spare nipples, wads, cards, 3 shot pouches and speed loaders. Email if you want other pics or have questions. I have shot the gun with 1 oz if shot and killed pheasants with it. It is a wonderful handling little double.

New member but I've been looking for something like this for pheasants. What kind of patterns are you getting? Favorite loads? I've only got a little smoothbore experience, mostly ML rifles, but I'd like to add one to the collection. Very cool gun!

Here is a picture of the proof marks and a couple close ups of the locks. It was proofed a 16 gauge but does measure and shoot 15 gauge wads.

Here is a pic of the upper tang and if you zoom in on the pic you can kind of make out the wood splice. It was done very nice. I don’t have a bore diameter gauge but the measurements above of the bores came from Track if the Wolf were I purchased the gun. The bores have no choke, I have a gauge for that.
