Bird stats for those that care!

His bird was 19lb 6oz on our Berkeley fish scales.
beards were 11 7/16” and 9 1/16”
Spurs were both 1 1/16”

my bird weighed 22 lb 4 oz
Beard was 10 1/8”
Spurs were 15/16” and 7/8”
His shot was 14yds mine was 13.

Wow Brad, talk about handcuffed!! Things can get interesting when a swarm comes in. Saw it a time or two myself in the last few days.

You are a great Dad to those boys. Glad to see good mentoring still survives. Sometimes have to look hard to find it these days.

Morning update! Got permission on a new spot! Drove out to find the gate yesterday evening, and look at an aerial for property lines. Hiked in early to the highest point and setup. I moved SW at 730, towards the nearest gobbling. Beautiful sunrise this morning!!!

Thanks everyone for the kind words! This is the best year for numbers of birds that I’ve seen in at least 10 yrs on the spots I hunt! Sure hope the population grows more!!!
