I own an Allen & Thurber .31 caliber pepperbox revolver, bearing the 1845 patent date. Despite my research on this company, I can't find much information on what this thing would have sold for back in the day (1840s-50s). I know they were intended to be a cheaper alternative to the early Colt revolver and the like, but I haven't managed to find anything like an old firearms catalogue or advertisement that can indicate what the price tag was on something like this. Maybe someone here has read something?
