Ok, maybe it’s ironwood…… or just a very well executed build. Very nice gun WITH a steel butt plate.

No problem about thinking it has a buttplate, it is very well shaped and at quick glance it looks like it has one, but does not. The rifle ways rite at 8 pounds, not a precise measurement just me holding it on the bathroom scale. It does appear to be round bottom rifleing. Pictures are of grooves and butt area.
