Sandy asked Neill Fields of Vernal to make her a flintlock to her design. Neill reused a Green River Rifle Works .44 caliber barrel. We got the stock blank from Log Cabin, he shaped and inletted it, finished it with Laurel Mtn Forge Lancaster Maple stain and linseed oil.

He engraved a really nice mermaid in the cheek inlay. This is the 355th muzzleloading firearm Neill has built, everything from early rifles and fowlers to Hawkens, pistols and handmade double flint shotguns.

Sandy checking the sights. She may just win our high dollar blanket shoot this Saturday.
