The horned toad says we should go to Mexico.
Walnut at both ends, antler and horn in-between. Nice 3 banded horn and very air tight.
Antler seems to dull the tools rather quickly. Had to restore the edges often. Kinda fun when ribbons of antler fly over your shoulder when cutting into it.
I've decided to pair it with a Kris Polizzi strap and hang it next to my Southern Mountain rifle, for now anyway. Pardon the Lancaster in the pic. I'm still braiding the ends of the strap.003 (1024x768).jpg 005 (1024x768).jpg 006 (1024x768).jpg

Beautiful workmanship. I'm happy if I don't file a hole in the side of the horn while smoothing it. Yours is really impressive.
