I put this here because I'm sure there are some Southern members here who know exactly where this story takes place. Known then as the Land Between the Rivers, known now as the Land Between the Lakes.

This book by LT Col Tom C McKenny USMC retired gives a different perspective than the mainstream history books do. A compilation of documented facts and eyewitness accounts about a little known theater during the Civil War.

Tells the true story of Jack Hinson, a farmer who wanted no part of the war, only to be left alone, but was forced into taking revenge on the Northern forces occupying his county and the surrounding area.

I live at the north end of what was considered "between the rivers" about 10 miles from the northern entrance to LBL.
Very good book, I bought it several years ago.

Gifted this book to my best friend and shooting buddy several years ago. He passed away from cancer 2 years ago, last week his wife gave it back to me. Going to read it next. Finishing one on The Alamo, we visited it last month.
