has appeared on canadiangunnutz.com forum. It is a very fine-looking 15mm rifled muzzleloader over a shotgun barrel and the owner is trying to find out more about it, so I thought I'd ask here. I'm sorry to say that I still can't post pics, but the main question is, just who was this gentleman? IMO the CHP is actually a worn version of CHR - Christoph[e], but there are, the OP notes, no other visible markinegs. I've asked him to remove the barrels to see if there are any others - the Wuerttemburg proof house stamps, for instance, since Germany per se did not exist until 1871 or so.

If anybody here has a Stockel or similar, I'd be grateful for any and all additional information for my buddy over there.
