If you want to show up at the range with the largest pistol and the biggest caliber, this is your gun.

Made by Gene Erickson, probably in the mid-1980s. Mr Erickson was active in the Seattle WA area, and a prolific builder of firearms. Most of his guns are somewhat quirky, perhaps a combination of black powder parts available at the time with a 1970s imagination, and so this pistol does not attempt to recreate a specific historic gun (at least not one that I'm aware of).

The pistol has the general appearance of a large horse, or maybe a pirate-inspired, pistol. It is 19 inches overall length. Barrell is 10.5-inches length to the breech plug, just under 12-inches overall and tapered with two wedding bands, .98 at breech and .835 at muzzle. My bore gauge says .72 cal and it is rifled, although the lands and grooves are very shallow and twist is very slow. It has a patent breech and is fitted with a nipple for #11 caps. Action is strong and pull of the handmade steel trigger is very light.

Lock is marked Spain, likely intended for a rifle given its large size and unused tapped hole for a front lockbolt. Steel furniture throughout has darkened from what I suspect was originally painted to look like brass. Stock has a nice warm brown color and some spalting in the fore stock. It has been used, and probably dropped more than a couple times -so there are some dings and handling marks in the butt end. I did my best to photograph these.

Hang this from your belt using the large hook and yell "Argh Matey" for $615 shipped in the 48 of USA. Money order, bank check, your personal check all accepted. PM for details/questions.
