Who built it? How old is it? Make of barrel?
How does it shoot, and what load do you like in it?

Anyone have thoughts on period/school/styling of this gun? Appears mostly German/Penn in origin, and the lock, if I understand these things correctly, matches that...but the furniture and barrel seems English.

Besides the shorter than normal barrel, would this be appropriate for pre Rev War use?

That cheek piece gives it a Germanic flair. It looks like a very nice gun, at a very good price.

For that money you could send it to Mr. Hoyt and have it rifled. You still wouldn't have a lot in it. Looks like plenty of metal at the muzzle.
 
Sorry but it looks like a hole and a gouge.The stock looks a little rough.Wear marks.A better picture might show it better.
