I have a direct line ancestor, grandfather, who was a member of the 4th Regiment of New Jersey. I was curious if anyone here may know the uniform color of this Regiment.
James Egbert joined the Regiment in 1777 and was discharged in 1780. Based on my research the uniform was most likey blue, with either a white or red facing. I am hoping someone from the New Jersey area may know.
James Egbert was a second lieutenant.
Thank you for reading.

go to 243regt.; the 2nd Pa./43rd Foot is an old re-enactor unit that has many NJ guys in it. Someone there would probable be glad to lead you to the information. Their older officers are quite expert in the living history field.
