Did you purchase it new and if so when? If not, do you know the history
of it and when it was made. Greg

I have had it for about 4 years . and have shot it a lot. Very reliable . the barrel extends 1 inch past the stock . there is no ground down pedersoli markings under the barrel . and a 25 is stamped under the barrel . that's all I know about the rifle. I'm only selling to upgrade to something that fits me a little better.

I've been researching Lehigh Valley rifles, and was studying this one to see if it met the criteria.
It looks very similar to a Lehigh Barn Rifle on the von Aschwege web site, but I was trying to research it more.
Guess I snoozed, and I loosed.
Hope you enjoy it as much as I would have.

This rifle is just a step above the custom "poor boy rifle" I have now which is all iron furniture. The only thing I don't like about this rifle is that it doesn't have a nose cap, that I may add to it. Not sure of the date of manufacture of the rifle but I have .54 Hatfield half stock from the mid 80s that is a exceptional shooter.

I've read on this forum that the older Hatfield's were good, but later on, things changed. I hope you have success with this one.
Here's a reference on Lehigh rifles: Lehigh Barn Rifle - VON ASCHWEGE FLINTLOCKS . It strongly resembles your new rifle.
I was considering adding a patch box. See other photos in the gallery of von Aschwege for examples.
I wish you the best.
