.40 CANNON KIT W/MOULD. From a late friends estate. He was a master machinist and built many full size and miniature cannons over the years. Unique and carriage never built, has elevator adjustment, trunnion caps. Comes with everything shown. Would make a nice cannon for fun salutes or actual target practice . Not sure such a thing exists. Touch area is nicely dished to hold powder and hole diameter looks correct.

I know its tiny, the touchole area is nicely dished to hold priming and makes hole look bigger than it is. Remember maker was fond of using a botefeux to fire his on his cannons during matches. Wish i still had skill to make a carriage, Will check today and get back to you. Will add answers to all the others who have asked. Estate items are now going fast for some reason and keeping me beyond busy

What size is the vent hole?

Sorry for late reply, Selling the estate items is overwhelming with so much demand for firearms and related items, The touch hole is very small and measures approx. 0.05" if I read the calipers correctly. Estate family wants to list it on EBAY but unsure of their rules.

Thanks, Up to my neck on gun broker right now but try them. The more i look at it the more i think about building a naval type carriage and keeping it. The elevation mechanism is so neat.
