Putting together a SMR , so I have decided to pass on my trusty Squirrel rifle of 30 years. Not hating on the Crockett or DGW guns, but this would be a more custom upgrade in my opinion. Walnut stocked, 13 3/8 lop, 35 1/2 strait, 3/4 “ Barrel. Bore is great, barrel has really turned a pleasing plum brown over the years. I put a buckhorn sight on it a few years ago for busting crows across the fields we’re I live. It may be good on a Hawken but not for squirrel. I do have the original to go with it, it’s just a 3/8 dovetail. Nice piece of Walnut, not overly embellished. Just enough engraving not to be tacky. Rifle was made in the 80’s when everything was still cool, and we even had monuments in NC. Still has makers note in the patch-box, which I left. No ugly Italian or safety markings! $725 shipped and insured.

That looks exactly like my Pedersol-built .32 flintlock from Garrett Arms Norfolk VA. Same pierced patch box minus engraving. Same trigger guard. The note says assembled from a kit so perhaps a Pedersoli Kit? BTW, I LOVE my rifle so I mean this as a positive thing. Mine is a shooter!

Took the barrel off. It says only the same thing as the note in the patch box. Here’s pictures. Don’t see any markings as to manufacture. What I can do is guarantee it’s a tack driver. I was wondering myself after some comments ? I don’t see no real run out, so if it’s a Pedersoli or custom I’m not certain. Open to a reasonable offer, or trades. Thanks again guys.

I’m up in Boone Granville. (1) Where are you located? I’m in Kernersville often and Greensboro.
(2) CAN IT BE CONVERTED TO FLINT? I did that on an earlier caplock and it works great. Who made the lock?

Hey man, I am in Oxford. I work in Raleigh. Have friends in Greensboro. Anything can be converted, my personal experience is only with Martial type US musket re conversions. I do have a Kibler colonial lock I could compare mortises with?
