i was pricing soft lead and wow,,cost plenty at a hardware store,,i have about 150 of soft lead i kept through the years,,making fishing sinkers and muzzleloader bullets,,,36 cal,,45 cal 50, 54, and 58 round balls,,, just the other day while its raining i made 150 36 cal maxi ball,,now to find cci #11 percussion caps

I buy it from junk recyclers for about 50 cents to a dollar a pound. Was given several hundred pounds of telephone cable sheathing ( pure lead ) by a friendly acquaintance 12 or more years ago. Still have most of it.
Set for life.

Several here buy lead from Rotometals. Even with shipping charges, it may be cheaper than the hardware.

Better stock up now while you still can.
Bullet molds, too.

i use to do a lot of roofing with pipes and suck,,,pipes are pure lead and part of vents on top of old houses also pure lead,, i make fishing sinkers,,duck weight, bullets u name it,,,still have plenty
