2nd gen Colt black powder revolver Mfg dates

I have a complete set of 2nd Gen Colt black powder revolvers with most of them in cased sets. I've enjoyed looking and studying them for years now and the time has slipped away to the point where it's getting time to let them go. They are all unfired and have been handled but not abused and I would like to find out the dates of manufacture on them before offering the collection for sale. At one time I ran across a list of dates by serial number for the 2nd Gen series and have lost it in one or another computer glitches or crashes. Does anyone have or know of a source for this series of Colts? I would like to be informed about them as I know prospective buyers will be asking those questions as well. I've done some searches on line and not really come up with anything substantial. I was told that Colt would provide the information but for a "fee" which I understand is outrageous. Any help would be appreciated.
