Here is a custom “built from a plank” walnut stocked iron furniture 20 gauge (42” rice octagon to round w/ wedding band tradition and internally jug choked full by Jason Schneider prior to shipping) fine period correct (built from 1749 original) historically accurate French Tulle Fusil De Chasse. This was custom built to my specs. by Kevin Blevins of Phoenix Mountain Flintlocks in Lansing, N.C. last summer (June, July and August) 2021. The lock is a finely tuned L&R flat faced trade lock, with is very fast and dependable…throwing sparks like a zippo! This smoothbore is beautifully finished and artificially aged in a subdued French gray finish, with the stock having small judicious amounts of bone black applied there too. This firelock has a very nice older (not brand new) look to it, as though in the same family for the past 270+ years…but always being meticulously cleaned, oiled and maintained. This will group .600” round balls (patched in .018” pillow ticking) in a 12” radius out to about 75lbs…still deadly on a man sized silhouette to 100yds (100grains of FFG). The sheer utility of this wonderful French Fusil comes when loaded with shot, though…in that I can load 2 full ounces of shot (using cards under and above shot), and put 80-90% of all that #5 shot in a 24” circle (15-20 in the kill zone of a swan, goose or Turkey sized targets) at better than 50 yards. This flintlock has been perhaps fired 25-30 times (using both ball and shot), and my price of $1,900 includes shipping to anywhere in the US where legal to do so. I’ve got a very fancy gentleman's 10 gauge New England Fowler, that has become “my go to gun”…and this 20 gauge just needs a new forever home, likely either with a goose, turkey or deer Hunter! Is that, or could that be you? I accept either USPS money order, personal check (gun shipped after funds clear)…or can do paypal f&f for shipping within the next day or two after payment made. This fine firelock will ship in a wooden crate/ box and insured for full price. Im not entertaining trades at this time. Thank you.

I was just asked on the ALR how much it weighs? A fast swinging easy to carry all day woods gun at 7.8lbs.

the only thing that I would replace is the TIGER STRIPED wiping / scouring stick. I believed that it seemed to be striped? I may be wrong? jmho.

In regards to Mr. Toot, my builder supplied me with a second spare ramrod/ wiping stick. It just has a rod sized tip drilled 10-32 (no bore sized bell tip), if you bought this firelock smoothbore from me…and don’t like the twisted stain stripe!
