Hiya ,I have an original 1816 model Remington musket. The nipple has rotted out as well as the clean out screw. I actually have no intention of shooting the weapon but would like it to have a better appearance as it hangs on the proverbial wall for the next 200 years.
So what I need to know is the nipple size(#11)? Then the thread size for it into the drum ? A real bonus for me would be the size of the clean out screw?
Would look for these specs myself but have been unsuccessful in my search.
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any help.
John
