I’m thinning my herd for some new interests in BP cartridge guns. This is an 54 caliber 1803 Harpers ferry rifle built from a Rifle Shoppe kit that I’ve had for quite a few years. It is very nicely done and aged naturally. It sports a Davis HF lock and a Colerain round bottom groove barrel. It has a white lightning touch hole liner that’s been slightly beveled on the outside. It’s very nicely put together. Inletting is very good. Oil finished stock. With 80 grains of 2F and .018 patch it’s a one hole wonder at 50 yards. I shot matches with it a few times but mostly used it for hunting. My bore light has petered out on me but I can assure you that the bore is shiny and as new. No rust or pitting anywhere on this gun. Patch box button release works as it should. It has gathered dust for a few years so it’s ready for a new owner. $1100 plus $50 shipping and full insurance. I prefer PayPal F&F
