I have an old Japanese made smoothbore that i believe was made by Miroku in the 70's. Has a 32" oct/round barrel with a good bore. Outside of barrel has nice patina.. It is a good shooter but doesn't have the best quality lock. It sparks ok, but if i were going to keep it i think i would replace it with an L&R Trade Lock which appears as if it would be a pretty easy swap or at least get a better quality frizzen. It patterns well with shot loads out to 25 yds or so, and does good with a ticking patched .648 rd ball. I haven't shot it enough to work up a Good load though. It has a 2 piece stock like the CVA Kentucky's. Will come with a wood ramrod with jag, around 45 .648 rd balls, and a bag of thin over shot wads, which is all i use. $350 if picked up within 50 miles or so of Roseburg., Or. or $400 shipped in lower 48. Or trade for smoothbore caplock, any guage.

I was told Miroku made them for the 1776/1976 celebrations. Like i said in the ad, i don't know for sure. I do know it was made in Japan

That gun was never made by Miroku ! Miroku made fairly high quality guns.

Miroku made a lot of manure too, the Tower Pistols that were sold for $29.99 back in the 1960's for instance. Like the Italians, they made the quality that the importer ordered and paid for.
