(From a previous post w/similar title, I finally got this rifle where I wanted it to be, a non “fresh out of the box” rifle.)

With cooperation from the weather gods here in Western Washington state, some free time from job responsibilities and other issues, I’m able to post the (98%) finished product.
WHEW! (,:-•

1st, check bore and rifling
2nd, reshape wood around lock/bolster (Image 4) to resemble originals. Next, remove excess wood between lock and barrel; same for opposite side. Remove factory bluing.
3rd, stock was taken down to bare wood
4th, stock gets a little “cognac” stain applied so the American walnut isn’t so obvious.....

....and to continue....

5th, reassemble all metal and check for fit, then
5.5th, realize my work bench is a conglomeration of copious amounts of manure!
6th, some black spray paint to add depth to checkering and a wee bit of aging

...random shots of semi-finished project. Just gotta add nipple protector, and tang/vernier sight.

Cheers,
James
