    42 pounder

Did anyone else see that they have found the wreck of HMS Victory in the English Channel. I watched Treasure Hunters on the discovery channel the other night. They raised a bronze 42 pounder. It was in amazingly good shape. They were of course, more interested in gold, but man o man was that a...

    61 navy

I have a 61 navy in .36. Can anyone tell me if the grips on the 60 army are the same size or not. I have gotten about five different answers from as many vendors.I would like a nicer set of grips but all the aftermarket stuff is geared towards the 1860 Army. If they are longer is the difference...

    divorce flintlock.

I went ahead and did it, I divorced my wife of ten years. I sold my cattle to pay her off and be rid of her and HER debts. I managed to come out of this with a little spare change and I am thinking of buying myself a flintlock to celebrate. I would like a .58 in a southern poor boy type...

    Survivor Man?

I was thinking about the best all around caliber thread last night. If by some accident of fate, you were to become lost/trapped in the wilds, which muzzleloader would you want with you? What would you pack in with you? How much of your current possible bags contents would actually be of use...

    Ruger problems.

I have had a ROA for some time. It has gradually gotten to where it misfires at least twice on each cylinderful. I switched nipples, I had my gunsmith buddy reduce the diameter of a set of nipples. Nothing seemed to help. I think that the main spring is weak. It doesnt smack a cap nearly as hard...

    Nice guys

Gus sent me some .680 round ball today. He was kind enough to cast me some and send em across country.I was curious as to whether they would group well in plastic shot cups like Coyote Joe suggested, they did. He also sent me a nice pillow tick ball bag just out of the kindness of his heart...

Score one for the 12 bore

Shot this old girl tonight at about 35 yards.I loaded 80 grains of 3f and 1 1/4 oz of four shot.Autopsy results showed several hits to the head, neck and shoulder. All in all, I couldn't ask more from the old CVA.

    Bad day Good

Ok, so the phone rang off the hook all day. My clients were all frantic @#%&*s. My Boss was up my @#% and my bank account is empty. BUUUUUUT, sitting on my porch when I got home was a 2 pound package of joy from Mr. Bullard. My .69 balls showed up and made the whole day better. I went inside and...

    .69 round ball

I found some .69 round ball at the old western scrounger. I have about shot them all up and would like to find some more. Does anyone know of a cheap supply? Or perhaps some .69 minnies. I really don't want to invest in a mold just yet.
