    If it were me I would say 50-75 yards something else to consider is you have to be careful loading them hot, as they are known to crack at the wrist with too much stress

    What real difference does it make what we use to keep shooting? If all you can get is XXX and it works in your muzzle loader(S), isn't it better to still be able to enjoy our sport than put our muzzle loader in the closet because we can't get real black.
