    Re-bore barrel

Hey folks. Having been on here much and shooting less but was wondering who still does rebore of muzzle loader barrels? Have a friend whose brother gave him a neglected TC Hawken .50 cal and wants to get it rebored to .54. Any names and numbers would be appreciated. Thanks, Dan.

First deer with a Lyman Great Plains Flintlock (Cen-Tex late season hunt)

Congratulations on your spike. Unique looking. If you haven't tried it by, now get some drill cloth. Tighter weave usually and holds up to 80grs 3F in my 54. Have picked up the patches and reused them. Dan.

    Makin Meat

With my .40 I have taken squirrels, turkey, fox, groundhog and deer. With the .50 squirrel and deer. With the .54 deer only. Had a Navy Arms T&T double shotgun and took a turkey and some squirrels. Dan.

Load for an 18th Century Jaeger Rifle

Maybe it was like using a backer patch or fiber wad to keep the powder burn off the patch around the ball. I've never heard of or seen anyone do that. Dan.
