    Breech plug?

install, dry or lubed? Not thinking it will be coming back out any time soon. Oil or anti seize? Got a new plug and the plan is to remove the old one, hone the bore to "smooth" it out best possible and re install the new plug. Sure beats what it is now. ;)

    Adjustable hone?

Got a CVA Frontier .50 caliber percussion barrel that was fired, NOT cleaned and put aside!! Bore is JUNK!! (may have been a kit gun??) Been too far back to remember. Looks like 40 miles of bad road with LOTS of potholes!! Tried Scotch Brite pads on a cleaning rod and lots of oil way back when...

    .32 pistol?

Anybody ever have, see or build one? Thinking it would be a fun project. Not much in the way of recoil. Maybe a 10" or 12" barrel. Percussion or flint. Just another thinking project. ;)

    Barrel rebore or???

Years back, picked up a CVA "Frontier" perc. rifle (kit??) for a song that had been fired, stashed in the corner and never cleaned. ( :() Bore looked like a lave tube. Did the "electrolysis" thing while I was working. Got after it with a scotch brite/emery cloth jig and with some work, it came...

    Bore size??

Measurements? 40 caliber = 45 caliber = Got a new barrel in a kit with no markings (7/8" across the flats) and am trying to figure out what caliber it is. Thinking it's 40 (?) but would like to be sure. TIA, Mike.

    Polished brass?

Should you spray (protect) it?? Poly or whatever?? Maybe just a good coat of wax??

Just bought a BP rifle kit...

and from the pictures showing kit parts, it looks like the under barrel "securing lugs" (not staples) may be missing?? I'll know more once I get it in my hands. Couple of folks commented on the rifle and it was mentioned at looking on different sites for building instructions. I looked at TOTW...

    Shot in a rifled barrel?

Any issues? Maybe too many times it could wear the rifling??

    CVA info??

Old barrel I believe was from a kit build. CVA FRONTIER (Spain) 85 343114 Probably 45 or 50 caliber. Junk bore replaced with GM 32. Any guess what age?
  11. N

    Swamped barrel.

What would be the smallest caliber?

    What do you do....

with a "Face Slapper"? First BP percussion. FIE? Do remember it being a Face Slapper. Only fired it a few times then picked up a few more while I was INTO the BP thing. Been a while back but it was mentioned it may have had something to do with the design of the stock? Just thought about...

You REALLY want to ship to California??

Any dealer or Person NOT wanting to ship to California? I don't blame them in the least. Dealers don't want to deal with the petty B*** S***!! Under CA laws... A blackpowder percussion cap firearm is still considered a "firearm" [PC 16520(a)] and is also considered an "antique firearm"...
