    Derringer modern reproduction.

They were sold in the early to mid 70's by Fernwood Gun Supply. They made several different "toys". Everything from single and multi barrel derringers to the blackpowder jailer keys. A google search doesn't turn up much but there is some info out there.

I have one of these in a single barrel, smooth bore .41 caliber. No markings on it anywhere. I had the makers info. I'll see if I can find it for you.

    Duplicating a lockplate

I don't have the technology to post pics but there is another thread here about these rifles. The lockplate is some thing a little different and there is no plate or parts available for it. I was thinking of the cast plate because I can get a couple high quality castings for free, so that fits...

    Duplicating a lockplate

The stock that I have is the Bondini/Pedersoli/Sanftl that I posted about in another topic. The lock is on the right side of the stock but the hammer falls back toward the shooter. No source has a lockplate that will fit this mortise. (even Pedersoli says no) I would like to get a mold of the...

Hi all, I have an inletted stock and need to make a lockplate to fit it. It is not a standard shaped lockplate. I have an idea and need your opinions on it working or not... Sanftl, Bondini, Pedersoli HELP

In case anyone is interested... I now have all the info that I need. I searched for and found a copy of Gazette des Armes No.124 December 1983 in which they had a nice write-up with great pics, one of them is the inside of the lock. Now the physical work begins.

Hi All, I need your help... I have a stock that I purchased several years ago because I really like the styling of it. I would like to build a rifle around it. The lock was percussion, mounts on the right side, and the hammer falls back toward the shooter. I have found that it was made by...

    Pocket Derringer

Don, The bore on this one meaures .310 exactly. I think I'd be hard pressed to get a .315 ball, let alone with patch, to load into this thing. Do you think that the early CVA models (this one is marked CVA) had a different bore size? Thanks, dave

    Pitchfork Gun

On a related note... In the book "Improvised Modified Firearms/Deadly Homemade Weapons" by J. David Truby and John Minnery on page 50 (in the second half of the book) they show a line illustration of a rifle close to this design. The picture is credited to The Museum of the Revolution, Moscow...
