    Very. When I were a lad we use to buy airgun pellets from the village bike shop. Marksman. In Tunstall another hardware store as a kid sold bows and airguns. I bet my very last dollar they would of sold shotguns pre 1968!

    Turn a bar muzzle internal diameter. Grind a flat so it goes in past the ding. Drill a hole across the bar. Bar needs to be 6" long or so. Fit a bar through the hole.     Overloading, yep, 1oz of shot in .45 smooth rifle would have some to go weak at the knees. But let's use 4f too! That's what I did today. 60gn was a bit to much though so dropped to 50gn. Just four shots for two squirrels and a rabbit. Good times. Jess enjoyed the afternoon too.

    Forget the wads and just use thin cards, not the thick nitro cards, just over shot card's.

    There is another way to get this slug out....boiling water. Get the barrel/s that hot you have to hold them with a towel. Tap the gun muzzles on a lump of timber.

    Some early tractors were petrol or gas engined, not diesel. Once started on petrol and warmed up they switched over to tvo, a fuel close to kerosene base/weight of fuel. They could smoke until worked and hot. That's all I know.
