Don't hate me for this question.

:surrender: I agree that safety is and always has been foremost in my mind when using propane or anything that is combustible. Being married to a fireman, I was very much drilled in the use of safety around these types of materials. There have been great advancements in tank design in 25...

Don't hate me for this question.

The cupling at the "fire" bowl seems to mix air with the propane. There are small air holes in this area. :hmm:

Don't hate me for this question.

I will stick with the safety and warrenty of the manufacture than build my own. :nono: I have a reputation for accidents and distruction. Also, my fire has a 12' hose which the maufacture put on for me. You can get the cuplings and make your own hose as long as needed. :shocked2:

    Tipi help........

Sunforger is the name given to the chemical process that is put on the canvas. Another name was Vivatex. The canvas is soaked in this solution. Far better that applying it after market such as with Bhear or Canvac.

    Tipi help........

All this information is dependant on where you live in the US....if you have high humidity and rain...definitly get the Sunforger with Marine treatment or water resistant coating. If you NEVER intend to get in a more humid/rainy area...you can use regular canvas. But with todays travel and how...

Don't hate me for this question.

Outside by how far? Inside or out...it maybe safer inside at a large event from little accidents of other people. At least you know no one is playing with it and it is not obvious on the outside of a lodge. I can use a one pound, with adaptors, on up to a 100lb. tank with mine. Now a big tank...

Don't hate me for this question.

I hide my tank behind my backrests with a canvas cover and the hose line is covered with cow hides and buffalo robes. In my Wall tent it is hidden in a box that doubles as a small table with the fire outside and hose line covered with an old rug trailer and then a grass woven or reed rug...

Don't hate me for this question.

Go to the bottom of this web page http://www.tipis.org/fire_places.htm...I use this in my tipi with rocks or wood around the base to hide the metal ring. Have even used it outside my camp and no one knew it wasn't real. People keep trying to put more wood on the fire and I have to take it off...

    Alafia River Rendezvous

A 10' tipi at the base only has to have poles that ae 12' to 15'. Are you sure on the size? It it was a 20'...I might agree. But I know the area you are in.

    Alafia River Rendezvous

I will be there...look for the 17+' yellow top with Blue bottom and turtles tipi on the east side of camp. NOT the tipi camp...to the left area down about 3 to 4 blocks on the left and 3 blocks in as you come in the front gate. You will not be able to miss the color of my camp. Have been...

    Tipi help........

How to set up a Blackfoot lodge by Brian Cannavaro is the best and most correct directions I know for this lodge. If you do not have it...let me know. The Laubins have it wrong in their book. Yes, in the old days the cover kissed the ground all around. Even old logs, boxes, other materials...

    Tipi help........

Problem is...you still have not stopped the wind from getting underneath and picking the tipi up. You have just secured the tri or quad poles better as stated in the Laubin book. Some areas that are used for camps are a bit too rocky for much digging and the old indians were known to burry the...

    TOW Forresters one pole tent

Depending on where you intend to camp...east or West of the Mississippi...do more research into the history of what is called a Minors tent or sheephearders pyrimid. If you are Colonial or into the early 19th. Cent..they are not accepted at many events. Most Rendezvous do not care as long as...

    Basic Clothing Patterns

Since you are looking for the Longhunter...stay away from the Seminole or Creek material. The sites listed in an earlier post are better for what you want. If you do Creek or Seminole you may have some problems fitting in with other areas. If you are interested in Southeasterm Clothing...this...
