    firing a cap prior to hunting

    What about puttin a few grains of powder under the nipple and NOT snapping a cap before loading. I've never had a slow fire doing it that way.

    want to talk about not being period correct, back in '03 I was a wrangler on the movie The Alamo, most of us guys horseback doing the all the charging and fighting was carrying RUBBER muzzleloaders.Couldn't get a one of the to fire but it sure made it easier to swing as a club though :rotf:

    I raised a possum from a baby, she was the only survivor from a mishap with a car tire, she was the bestest pet, cleaned on herself more than a cat does, used the litter box. i bet she is the only possum thats been in 8 different states.(we took her with us on vacation)
