    Pocket Walker

I read the title and all I could think was "must have awfully big pockets". I'd love to see pics or video of that being shot with a full charge.

    Italian reproduction metal quality

I'm happy to report that my Uberti Walker hasn't burst, nor have I had to replace any parts with over one thousand 50-55gr shots through it so far. :2

    Broke Hawken!

If your original stock isn't missing any pieces, why not just fix it with some epoxy and threaded brass rods? Sorry, but I don't just understand today's society's automatic response to simply replace something instead of trying to fix it. :idunno:

I just can't like the TC Renegade

A 54 Renegade was my first blackpowder rifle... I tried the best I could to make myself fit the rifle, but the LOP was too short, the sights too low, and in a nutshell just didn't fit me for squat. Sold it and got a Lyman GPR instead, fits great.

    Walker

Just file a small notch in the loading lever spring, doesn't take long and works like a champ.

    C&B shooters...opinions needed!

    Something like his eyebrows :rotf:

    Lyman GPR kit.

Another vote for the GPR kit here. I bought and built one a few years ago, first rifle I've ever built... everything went together well with some minor fitting here and there. I'm rather pleased with the end result, looks good and shoots better than it looks.

    Pistol/revolver of choice...........

I'd stick to what I'm comfortable with, my Walker backed up with an 1860.

    Walker on the way

Looks like I'm gonna need to practice some more...

    Walker modification

Here's a pic of how I modified mine:

    crisco

I use it as an over-the-ball lube (never have cared for wads); it gets a bit runny when hot, but still does the trick.

    Whats your range and accuracy?

Now that's fine shootin' right there! :hatsoff: Pretty well blows the notion of "inaccurate blackpowder pistols" out of the water doesn't it?

    Whats your range and accuracy?

First shot from a clean barrel was the center hit, next four went into the group at 12 o'clock and the last shot... well... dunno what happened there.

    Whats your range and accuracy?

55gr Graf's 3F, Hornady .454 ball, Crisco over the ball and a CCI #11 magnum cap.

    Whats your range and accuracy?

My best shooter would be my Uberti Walker. Here's a pic of fairly standard shooting at 50yd, two-handed with no support: For torso-sized targets, anything out to 100yds is fair game... I've kept four out of six shots on a 6" gong at 100yds on numerous occasions.

    Uberti Walker, Diameter & load?

An overpowder card or wad isn't really necessary... with a caveat: Revolvers tend to give their best accuracy when the ball is seated at or close to the end of the chamber. What you don't want is for there to be any air space between the powder charge and the ball... you need to either firmly...

    Uberti Walker, Diameter & load?

It's a B-17 Target, picked up a slew of them a few years back... honestly don't know the difference between the two. As for my shooting, it was done standing, no support but my two hands... a nice sunny and windless day did help. Another thing that hepled is the fact I opened up the notch in...

    Uberti Walker, Diameter & load?

Nothing really new to add, but I figure I'll throw my tuppence in anyway... my standard load is 55gr of Graf's 3F, .454 Hornady ball seated directly on the powder, Crisco over the ball and a CCI #11 magnum cap. I didn't notice much difference between 2F and 3F accuracy wise, but the 3F doesn't...

    Walker colt, need some help

I figure people could use a picture to help visualize the latch modification...

Parts to buy for Pietta 1858

The spare hammer may come in handy if the sear notch or the nub that actuates the bolt wear out.
