    German Boar Rifle(?)

If its a real boar rifle it may very well have been outfitted with a bayonet. IIRC there were pictures of same in Europe when I was there, but it was years ago and I can't find the reference. Pigstickers with sword type bayonets or lances were also depicted. rayb

    Beretta o/u ML Shotgun

Hope you enjoy yours. Mine has been a trial in getting it to go bang every time I pull the trigger, but I think i've got it worked out. There was a post a year or two ago about a modification to the lower Barrel flash channel that was supposed to fix the problems with failures to fire. I've...

    Beretta M/L

Keeping the thing clean is very important to good functioning in the Beretta over/under muzzleloaders. I had to do a lot of experimenting to get a good sequence of loading and cleaning in order to eliminate misfires. Clean, Clean clean, especially in the breech end of things. It will pay off...

    Curious bout jug choking

You can do it yourself. Basic approach is using a brake cylinder hone, slowly and with test firing in between cutting sessions. Search around some, I've seen instructions on how to do it posted before. ?? Maybe Muzzle Blasts,?? and maybe on this forum. Also try V M Starr search, there may be...

    powder shot measure

Test your loads try equal volumes shot and powder first My limited experience is that if you have a cylinder bored gun or one with a "squeeze" type choke, equal volumes work ok; sometimes a little more shot than powder (again, by volume) may improve your patterns if your shotgun has a jug...

    beretta smooth bore

Have one . It can be sort of finiky, be sure to keep everything clean, and you'll do ok. Spend some time and get a good fit on the caps to insure it fires well. There was a "fix" to improve the firing that has been published in Muzzle Blasts and then on this forum last year or so. Spend...

    CVA TRAPPER SHOTGUN ?

ive got one, it is choked full, does ok on clay targets, haven't hunted with it yet. It has a squeeeze type choke, not a jug or a screw in choke. Good inexpensive gun. A little light for a long day of shooting at the target range, it will start to wear on me after a while. Haven't shot it...

    Cartridge brass as powder measures

my first powder measure was a 45 acp brass case with a coat hanger loop handle. Made another at the same time that i filed off a little bit of the case so it held about 10% less. Probably got the idea from the back of the Dixie catalog, but don't remember for sure. Used the larger one for...
