    A few flinlocks.......

Hello Kabar! No I do not collect Spanish military arms, but I do love antique flintlocks. I have a few British and Ottoman examples and I truly cherish them so I can sympathize with your love for that piece.

    Pedersoli Owners

I also do not remove my barrels for cleaning. After I get a new arm I generally smear a bit of high pressure grease on the underside of the barrel. Then I re assemble and don't worry about it, after a few years shooting a arm I have taken the barrels off and I have not found rust, so I find it...

    1803 Harper's Ferry Development

She is a truly handsome rifle, mine arrived today while I was at work, my proper camera was charging but I couldn't help posting a few shots thinking of your post. Here is my example of Antonio Zoli 1803, Its also 58 cal, with the English black flint I put in her she hammered out a surprising...

    1803 Harper's Ferry Development

She is a beauty!! Antonio Zoli maybe??? Thats the make I have coming. I like the looks of the 1803 over the later hawkins type, seems more robust to my eye.

    New flintlock movie Comming

People /tribes and civilizations have been butchering and enslaving their neighbors from earliest recorded history. Certainly people of European ancestry do not have anything close to a monopoly on the practice, but seems that we have a monopoly of the blame. All that said....Movie looks...

    Antonio Zoli 1803 Harpers Ferry??

Did you ever try her with minies? I have a mould for my original springfield rifle musket....How would a minie work in a flintlock I wonder?? Im pretty handy shooting off the bayonet lug on my bess so sights are nearly 2nd consideration for me at this point.

    Antonio Zoli 1803 Harpers Ferry??

Thank you guys! This example looks nearly new. From doing a bit of study I have found the biggest complaint with this pattern and make is that the frizzens were usually soft "kinda like my pedersoil bess" so I imagine if I can source a new heat treated one I should be good to go. I have sent a...

    Mike Koval??

 I think the rifle looks kinda neat and the carving "being relatively morbid" kinda gives the rifle a certain allure. That said....10 thousand dollars :surrender: Yikes.

    Antonio Zoli 1803 Harpers Ferry??

Gentlemen Hello, I have just sent away for a 58 cal Zoli Harpers ferry half stock manufactured in the early 70's I believe. The deal was quite good at $350. shipped so I snagged it. She looks more stout then the average common halfstocks and after reading Undaunted courage by Ambrose Im kinda...
