    Arbor Problem?

I really like osage particularly after I located a fellow that was selling billets cut on a Southern military base that had late wood rings from1/8 to 1/4 in. Still have 20 sets of sister billets from that lot. Best preformance though was from bamboo backed osage glued up with about a 2" reflex...

    Arbor Problem?

Careful! Wood bow making is every bit as adictive as muzzle loading. I'm here to testify!

    Uberti Walker disassembly

The problem is at the point the barrel is about to contact the frame the arbor diameter increases slightly so the barrel can't go on any further. This was Uberti's half assed solution to the short arbor problem. The wedge when driven in forces the barrel onto this oversize diameter and it is...

    Touch hole liner conundrum

Get a breech face scraper and reduce its size a small amount to clear the liner. Use that to scrape the breech face then use a wad of tow around a worm to finish the job. You will also find that a wad of tow on a worm will clean a barrel better than a patch on a jag for the entire job.

That was hard to walk way form!!

My brother and I set up in that building. I know the gun you are writing about. I have looked at it the last couple of shows he has had it for awhile. A little rough externaly but good bores. He is a good guy to deal with I may have to talk him out of it next show.

    Pedersoli woes....

It would be interesting to hear what exactly Lee had to do to correct the malfunction. A strange problem indeed when the lock would drop with the trigger set too light but no drop with it set heavier considering that either way the arm tripping the sear is striking it with the same force either way.
