    Laddle for possibles

I was talking to a trader at Davy Crockett Days about a lead laddle. He described one that was would hold enough lead for a couple of balls. It had a pour lip and a cork screw tail for twisting a branch into for a handle at camp. I would like to find one or are there any smiths out there...

I tried to search the forums but no luck. I'm getting ready to order some more powder. I was wondering what if any storage containers you all use. I noticed a lockable steel box in Cabelas for $300 +/-. Any advice or horror stories? I have been keeping 3 cans in my vault with the rest of my...

    Best way to line bag?

I've noticed some bags lined with ticking here and on the web. What is the best way to do this? Do you glue the fabric to the leather and then sew or sew a bag to put in the pouch if that makes sense. I have some light weight leather and would like to make a lined pouch.

    Guns left in the

Are there any downsides to leaving the metal in the white? Is it purely a cosmetic thing? I prefer the plain jane poor boys with iron hardware. The next one I get will be in the white. I think I need to take baby steps before diving head first into a full blown kit.

    Cleaning/work stand for long rifles

I saw a pattern for a cleaning and work stand for long rifles and I have forgot where. I was wanting to build one now that I have a long rifle. The stand was about chest high and free standing. It had an open box shelf for your junk as well. Any help?

    Loose Front Sight

I am in the process of regulating my sights on my rifle. The front sight is loose (sliding back and forth in the dovetail). It will not fall out but will move 1/3". I have wedged it with good ole duct tape right now but how do I fix it once sighted in?

    Building Priming Flasks?

I intend on making a priming flask out of a piece of antler. My question is what size valve to get. They come in two sizes. One throws 1 grain, the other throws 3 grains. A friend of mine ground some powder down to where it looks like baby powder. It may be psychological but it sure seems like...

    Wife is a keeper

My wife asked me if I wanted a new gun for our 10 year wedding aniversary. My neck is still hurting from my head spinning round. I dread her choice of presents (shiny and a lot smaller than my poor boy). .32 caliber made by Sitting Fox.

Made smoke and a LITTLE meat

Well, one down and the rest of her career to go. [/img] I cheated. I said I would never shoot another one that wasn't over my dog. Well, I'm between dogs and the pup is too young. A new gun will burn your hands until you shoot it the first time! [/img]
