    Turkey Calls

I made one from a store bought bird just to see how it would turn out. I cut it off before it went into the oven. Scraped the meat off then boiled it and gave it a final clean, blowing out the marrow. Let it dry a day or two, cut, shape, glue and wrap with sinew. Works great.

    Help finding a long funnel

I used a Pedersoli funnel like pictured, then hit the hardware store for a 3ft brass tube. Make sure it fits into the tube. The funnel does come apart with heat. Or just ground off the threads if keeping the funnel full length. Fluxed. solder cut to length and or put a collar on it to make it...

    Dry Lubed patching ?

I made strips with the 7:1 method. I just keep them rolled in a zip lock with the air squeezed out. I used them all year so far and they are perfectly fine. I found a few rolls of some that I was experimenting with, different ratio mixtures in a plastic container, still good. I wouldn't bother...

    Shooting sticks design

Here's a look a one set of sticks I use. This set does have a spiked base. Our club does allow that for cross stick matches. They are decent and stable. And free, made from scrap oak pallet wood.

Let's See What Your Handgun Loading Stand Looks Like

That is a 45 cal P. Bondini underhammer pistol. I had to change the front sight. It was so low from a previous owner that it was shooting to high for me. It shoots very nice, very accurate.

Let's See What Your Handgun Loading Stand Looks Like

Really nice work everyone. I'll throw in my contribution. Made from weathered oak pallet wood, a couple scraps of leather and felt. All my pistols fit just fine.

    Tingle rifles?

I own a Tingle hawken style 45 cal. rifle. Really well made and accurate. You do need to set the trigger to lock the hammer back to fire. If it's in good shape, well worth it.

    why no bench stuff?

Hopefully there's more interesting input to this thread. Our club has monthly shoots that include bench matches 50 to 200yd. Most of the bench guns are "homemade " and really impressive. I shoot a light bench gun and still consider myself a novice compared to the other members. I would just...
