    My Kibler Colonial

Well, I finished my Kibler Colonial 58 cal rifle. Very pleased with how it turned out. Cherry stock. Aged the brass a bit, blued barrel and lock. Finished the stock with several coats of true oil, and will let it darken naturally over time. I'm making a new ramrod out of a Cherry dowell with...

    Stock ID for Enfield P58

I've got a Birmingham-barrel Parker-Hale P58 from 1988. But I'm unclear about the stock as it lacks the P-H cartouche. It has the letters JS stamped inside the lock area as shown in the photo. Anyone know what kind of stock this is and what the JS means? Thanks! Tim

    1861 Springfield Restoration Question

I recently purchased a restored 1861 Springfield. I'm not sure exactly what had been done, because I'm not real familiar with the sporterization variations that these guns underwent. The original stock was cut, and was restored to full size (joined new forestock) by the previous owner. He seems...

    Stubborn Stuck Bullet

I was out shooting my 58 cal yesterday. Long story short, I was trying some different bullets. The last one I tried was an ashcan shape. I shot one fine, but then the next started going down fine and got stuck halfway down the barrel. Ended up breaking off the wooded end of my range rod trying...

Hello, new member from Annapolis, MD here. Looking forward to being part of the group.
