    Pedersoli 1859 Sharps rifle bullet

Is that the Berdan model? I think that's what it's called. I noticed the set trigger. Mine shoots well without the set trigger, but it would be nice to have the option.

    Cleaning the .32 Kentucky. oops!

Some of the stuff you run into is pretty bad alright. But then I see a lot of guys sending modern guns back to fix a problem, too. Maybe it's all due to cutbacks. As in there is no QC dept anymore

I'm a big believer in the bring enough gun theory :thumb:

    Uberti .31 1849 Pocket Power

At one time I had a good collection of phone books and did the same thing myself. Specifically I was comparing the same projectile out of different barrel lengths to see the difference not only between barrels, but various projectile performance. It really didn't matter if the books were all the...

Thanks. I hadn't heard of this.

HEARING PROTECTION can you hear me!

When I got a new rifle with a 16" barrel and a muzzle brake, shooting a certain kind of ammo, my regular muffs were not enough, so I also used a pair of ear plugs. And that still wasn't enough. So I bought a pair of these...

HEARING PROTECTION can you hear me!

None of the Axil Extreme foam or silicon thingies seem to fit my ear canal. And then there's the wire. Which seems to get hung up on my coat collar if I wear them with the wire in the back or simply be in the way if I drape the wire in front. Plus I can never remember which buttons do what for...

    As in? ;)

HEARING PROTECTION can you hear me!

I bought some on Amazon that you boil to make soft and then mold them to your ears. They're OK. Good for ML's, but I can tell they would let too much sound through on some other guns.

    Something different, Over Under Flintlock

I think I'd rather have a twist barrel.

BUYER BEWARE - Mntnhntr is a SCAMMER

I must have missed the part where it was said that more rules are being added. I thought they were enabling a feature, which can either be used or not. Maybe that was the other thread.

    front sight

oops. Adding to the confusion I typed 1893 instead of 1903.:doh: I have no idea what a curved face (front?) sight does except channeling the light, and therefore the focus, to the top of the sight.

    front sight

Gotta love a confusing conversation  OP, a picture is worth a thousand words. As we've already determined, you meant to say blade sight, not post. I think. And everyone knows the ramp part of a sight is the part that goes from the barrel upwards to the apex. That ramp is typically...

BUYER BEWARE - Mntnhntr is a SCAMMER

We have that cousin in TX here, too? It seems he is popular on another site I am on. Always has a rare expensive knife not made anymore and a member just happens to have him as his cousin. From TX.

Hmm... I always wondered where the term came from. But do you scale a fish, or do you de-scale it? ;)

    Pa’s Early Muzzleloader Deer Success

Congrats. I had wanted to go out this year for the early season, but I am seeing so few doe on my trail cam that I don't want to remove any for the big buck out back to sniff out. Plus I'd hate to be out and see that buck with a ML when I could have been archery hunting. Come December I may...

    " Defarbed "

I could be wrong, but when I see it mentioned here I took it to mean removing unnecessary stampings. Like black powder only warnings or made in Italy. But it could certainly mean removing the maker's stamp and caliber, too.
