    Measuring Powder Charge By Hand

Has anyone else heard that if you don't have a measure, you can measure your charge by placing the ball in your hand and pouring on powder until it just forms a pyramid over the ball. It seems like it would be inconsistent, but would it work? Just askin'. Thanks.

    2f or 3f in .45 rifles

I've been wanting to get a .45 rifle kit in flintlock and wanted to know...2 or 3f? I shoot 3f in my .45 pistol, but hear that 2f is more appropriate in a rifle. Thanks, guys! Have a great day!

TOTW's French Type D Tade Gun

Anyone here made one? How do they shoot? Are they hard to build? Track says one of their easiest kits, but I want to know how hard it would be for a first time kit. Also what's the weight and recoil for a 20 ga.? All answers are appreciated and any history of these guns welcome. Thanks, rushcc.

    "Trapper" style knives

I have several questions about these. First, did trappers really carry these style knives? Any documentation of this? Finally, would a stag handled Case trapper be P/C? It does look pretty mountain man-ish. (sorry, no pics, let me know if you want dimensions). Thanks, rushcc.

How do I realign the hammer on a percussion handgun?

I was curious how (or if) I can realign the hammer on an old JUKAR .45 cal percussion handgun. The hammer needs to come closer to the gun, when I shoot, the cap gets very deformed and stuck in the hammer. Watch Your Top Knot, rushcc.
