    Number 11 cap shortage?

    I've had good luck ordering them online at the store they say has them and picking them up. Usually only have 1 tin in stock though. Scheels has been getting them occasionally it seems and they usually get a bunch of them at once and send them to 1 store a ways south of my area.

    Hunting with a percussion rifle

    Have gone several seasons without losing a cap on half cock. My caps fit snug on the nipple and it is sometimes a little difficult to get them off when getting back to camp or into a vehicle.

    Removing the barrel on a hooked breech rifle for cleaning, yes or no??

    Mine come out of the stock to get cleaned in the bathtub or a bucket. I was taught that way and it seems to work just fine.
