Shooting the Pedersoli KY .32. Good day!

Shoots well. I have their scout rifle in 50. Mine keeps hitting high right at 25 yards. Could be me. Tried drifting the front sight to the left. I run 2f with a little 4f in the main charge.

    PSA.... Check your local Walmart.

Aww their smokeless gun section is pretty good bummer. Cabelas / Bass Pro does carry black powder but not at every store.

    PSA.... Check your local Walmart.

Rural King sells guns too. It's like Walmart but not woke. I wonder if they would carry percussion caps.

Shooting Buck & Ball Paper Cartridges....

I own the same Pedersoli Trade Gun. I am going to have to try to roll paper cartridges. I can't do buck and ball though, local range only allows slugs for muzzle loaders. Bird and buck aren't allowed.

    One piece Kentucky long rifles

Thanks I wasn't expecting the manufacturer to reply. I do really like the kits and admit I though there was a lot more fitting than there actually is which is a good thing to be wrong about. Thanks Jim. The only question I have do the barrels in the kit come with a threaded vent sleeve? I saw...

    One piece Kentucky long rifles

I can understand that. My Pedersoli trade gun has a octagon to round barrel that really helps with the point of balance. My scout feels heavier as the octagonal barrel doesn't taper. Kibler is more but you do get a better rifle. I still think the Pedersoli Kentucky and Pennsylvania rifle kits...

    One piece Kentucky long rifles

I wouldn't worry about offending anyone about a preferred kit. I do think I misunderstood the state you receive the Kibler kit. It comes CNC cut with the barrel and lock recess done. It may require some additional hand sanding for fitting. I though you had to do more, was confused by the offered...

    One piece Kentucky long rifles

Then why does Kibler rifle kits offer a $700 in the white option? Pedersolli kits come with finished lock, blued barrels, barrel pinned, ramrod thimbles pinned, lock and trigger installed. Pedersoli sells lock parts and entire replacement locks for almost all their side locks on their website...

    One piece Kentucky long rifles

It's small but not flimsy. I put about fifty rounds or so with no problems. Occasionally had to change flints every two dozen or so strikes. The antechamber is the one thing I don't like about the Pedersoli Pennsylvania rifles. Putting f4 in the chamber with the main charge helps a lot. You can...

    One piece Kentucky long rifles

The Kentucky, Scout, and Pennsylvania rifles all use the same lock and vary between $699 and $950 for the kit versions depending on which one you chose. I don't think the Alamo is offered as a kit so it is not comparable. You would need to compare the Alamo rifle to a factory finished Kibler...

    One piece Kentucky long rifles

If you want the Kibler you will have to do a lot of work or spend an additional $700 for their in the White option where the barrel, ramrod thimbles, action, trigger guard, and butt plate are fitted for you. Or you could get a Pedersoli Kentucky or Pennsylvania rifle kit from Dixie for a lot...

    Pre ignition

My friend who owns two swivel cannons uses aluminum foil wrapped powder charges. He makes everyone swab the bore with the worm and wet sponge each loading procedure.

Does anyone have a list of ranges shooting large caliber cannons are allowed?

I need to stop by the Hernando gun club range. I keep going to the Dade City gun club because it's usually quiet and not too many people there. I can't shoot shot or buck in my trade musket there. I can only shoot round ball or Conicals. Thanks for the replies.

Firing blanks from a flintlock rifle

Depends on the event something require you to ram rod your load and others don't want you to ramrod your load.

Firing blanks from a flintlock rifle

I have done blank firing demos with my 50 cal Scout rifle. I used 2f 90 grains and a regular spit patch. It worked well enough.

Civil war guns from garage sale

I still can't believe this is real. You sure those cap and ball revolvers aren't replicas? Pedersoli / Uberti made replicas of both the Starr double action and the Colt. Awesome either way.

    greetings from florida

Hi I am from the gulf coast. Do you like pirates? There are a good number of pirate reenactment groups in Florida that will let you shoot blanks in cannons and flintlocks. I belong to one.

    Rogers rangers musket photos please?

https://www.dixiegunworks.com/index/page/product/product_id/2023/category_id/315/product_name/FR0600+Dixie+Brown+Bess+Trade+Gun+Kit Dixie has a Ranger Bess with a 30 inch barrel as a kit. I built two Pedersoli kits before. They do all the hard work for you of barrel channel, lock mortises...
