Identification of 1863 Zouaves - New to me

You have a partial, the bottom half, of the date stamp, XX8 for 1972. The Roman numerals were not in a box. The Italian date codes in a box started in 1975 with AA.

Five Different Powders Chrono'd in Two Rifles

That 100 yard range in your second photo looks similar to a Missouri Conservation range that I shoot at.

    Pedersoli Manufacturing Date

XX8 is the date code for 1972 when the barrels were proofed.

    Pedersoli Manufacturing Date

Without pictures of the shotgun, markings in particular, I can only offer you the following. I suspect 1137 is the serial number so it will be an older Pedersoli dating from the early 1970's, maybe late 1960's. For more information you will need to pull the barrel assembly and look for...

    Problems With "New" Pedersoli Shotgun

Hopefully you can return it, probably the best thing since it obviously is needing some attention.

    Problems With "New" Pedersoli Shotgun

Does the right lock function okay when off the stock? If yes, then check for interference between stock & lock. If no, then check condition of the tumbler-sear notches, sear nose for wear, burrs. Also what condition are the nipples? Those are the easy things to check.

Turner Kirkland Brass Boxlock pocket pistol

XX7 Proofed in 1971. Looks to be a fun gun to shoot, still in good condition. I agree with others, let us know how it performs.

    Hey Hey from Missouri

Where do you shoot? I primarily shoot at Pigeon Hill Conservation Area near St. Joseph. I have a Pedersoli Kodiak Express MK VI in 54 caliber. Been shooting Maxi-Ball in it but am going to try Round Ball in it this spring.

    Checking in from KCMO

Primarily shoot at Pigeon Hill Conservation Area near St. Joseph. Been shooting there since the early 1990's. Usually shoot during the week but occasionally on Sunday. The ranges tend to get busy on the weekends. The atmosphere at non-supervised ranges are more relaxed but you do have to be...

    Pedersoli poor quality

Pedersoli does not warranty or guarantee the wood stock. My experience with a stock defect occurred with a new in the box stainless Ruger Mini-14 (unmentionable). Was shipped with a 1 1/4" crack on the left side. Seller refused to exchange or refund (Wal-Mart: this was in 1999 for reference)...

    Date code on new Pietta

On March 9, 2020 the decision was made to change from letter code to the last two digits of the year of manufacture or proof. Went into effect on June 1, 2020. You will find on 2020 guns either CZ or 20 in a box. On recent Piettas I have seen, some have not had a date marked, most have the...

Hammer double barrell combination shotgun rifle muzzleloader

Value? Depending on ones perspective, all guns have some value. Whether collectible, a shooter, or even a wallhanger. Value can be sentimental, historical or financial. If financial is your question, then value will depend on numerous factors including, but not limited to, overall condition...

    Hello from Friendship Indiana

Yes, I definitely would be interested. I'm not currently a member of the NMLRA but I am considering joining later this year. Like some others here I have been dealing with life changing health issues and am finally recovering enough to become outdoors active again.

    Hey Hey from Missouri

Welcome from Kansas City. I live north of the river in Clay county, just southeast of the I-29 / I-35 junction. Fort Osage Muzzleloaders in Kingsville, between Lone Jack and Pittsville on Highway 50, is the closest one to Kansas City that I know about.
