    Blue loctite is more readily available, but purple loctite is made for fine thread screws. I use it anytime I'm mounting sight bases, bowsights, etc.

    I'd rather not have that many eyeballs looking for me. Besides the eyeballs the crunchy snow is the next biggest issue. With fresh snow it's more doable, that crusty stuff has saved many an elk and deer.

    Perhaps in Colorado, but here in Idaho most of our muzzleloader elk tags are late season. Nov/Dec. We don't have the benefit of a mid September season.

    Coming from Powder Inc I'm going to guess that UPS thought it was smokeless and didn't realize it was black powder. Unless you're talking about getting a shipment of regular powder from Powder Inc instead.

    Irrelevant in what way? Highlighting a historical FACT that original rifles were shooting PRB in the same twists that internet experts today say shouldn't work? The OP will do what everyone else does, test different powder and projectile combinations and settle on one that suits his needs...

    Yep, but you're not the average shooter either though. I quoted a different person, not exactly sure why you quoted me on that response? He went from buying a 209 primer adapter, to buying every tin of caps that Walmart got in. Completely different use case scenario than your high volume shooting.
