I only replaced the front post with a taller brass one and hour glassed the main spring to reduce the heavy hammer pull it had. Mine was made in 1998 and is plenty accurate as is. -

How far down do you clean?
I have an action shield on the hammer and internals have Mobil 1 Synthetic Grease in my pistols so no need to take the internals apart. Tap water and moose milk to scrub the barrel and cylinder. Frame is wiped with moose milk. Nipples come off every 2-3 times used, cleaned and anti seize used on... -

I usually clean them the same day but…a couple of times life got in the way and 1-2 days went by before being able to clean them. Even though I live in Florida where it’s very humid, I’m glad to report there was no trace of rust. I’m sure a couple of more days would have increased the chances...- ernbar

How many of you dry your revolver in the oven?
Why over complicate things? Tap water, moose milk, wipe dry and lube. The moose milk will stay on lubing after water evaporates. Quick and easy, no flash rust, no fuss specially if the internals are packed in synthetic grease . The hair drier method works too. -

That’s how I have mine set up along with an action shield. Keeps all the frags and manure out of the internals. -
Carburetor cleaner
I spray moose milk on let soak for a couple of minutes, then under the faucet using plain tap water to rinse and wash all the gook away using a brass brush. Go back to my bench and spray moose milk again then follow up with patches till clean and lubed with Ballistol and re assemble. Very fast...- ernbar

Go to Academy’s web site and sign up for restock alerts for caps. I got mine and placed my order. They sold out within a couple of hours. Place your order as soon as you get the notification. I have done this with Academy and Bass Pro and have replenished my supply.😉 -
