    Pedersoli Jäger Rifle

Very nice. I had the Hunter. It was a tack driver and a fun gun to shoot.

What Muzzleloading Stuff Did You Do Today?

Checking out and doing a little polishing on a brand new Pietta 1863 Remington pocket. Scanning the interwebz for an elusive Howell cylinder. This gun is tiny!

    Disaster

Oh nooooo!! Man that's a bummer. Time to make a mandrel! Taptap here and taptap there and it will be good as new.

    Wobbeling Hammer

I have peened the edges of the hole. I have used shim material. I have used a few drops of strategically placed red loctite. JB would definitely hold, too. You can fix this much cheaper and quicker than sending it to someone. Pick yer pison. 😁

    Relined barrel proble

Just to be clear, The work in the pictures I shared was not done by Hoyt. It was done by the seller. Sorry if I hijacked.

    Relined barrel proble

Epoxy that was spooged into the breech when the liner was pushed in.

    Relined barrel proble

I just got a barrel back from Hoyt also. The liner is protruding into the drum hole. I’m having to do some careful filing and run a tap back through it.

    Relined barrel proble

I have a wrench for it. What size is your barrel across the flats? I think my wrench is for a 15/16” I can send it to you if you need to use it.

    Relined barrel proble

OOF.... I had this same problem with a smoothbore I purchased. There was a huge glob of it on the breech plug face. Would have made thorough cleaning impossible. Ended up removing the breech plug and digging it out. Might be more of a challenge with a TC breech. Good luck gladiator.

    A Funk(y) cape gun

Those are safeties. They prevent the hammer from falling all the way upon the cap.
