    Custom breech plug

    I need a breech plug for a hopkins allen underhammer, it would have to be a one off or custom job needs to be 3/4×16 for the threaded part and then go to 5/8ths cylinder to fit in the action.     Under hammer build??????

    Does the breech plug screw threw the bent peice of the floor plate with a hole drilled in it and if so is this what connects the barrel to the but stock????

    Shallow groves??

    I recently picked up a hopkins allen underhammer in 45 caliber, its stamped model 25 on one of the flats. I have noticed the rifling is very shallow. How will this affect round ball accuracy i have read shallow grove does better with conicals is this true. This is all new to me

    H&A underhammer hammer will not stay cocked???

    I recently received a h&a underhammer and noticed the hammer will not stay in the cocked position. I took it apart and don't see any thing broken or unusual wear. If you put some pressure on the back of the hammer it will stay cocked until you release the pressure. Does anyone have any ideas...
