    Ultra Hi Kit Rifle

The Ultra Hi 45 Kentucky I just finished has a three roll stamps. The right side says Ultra Hi by Miroku, Japan, the top says Proof Tested, and the opposite side says 45 cal, Black Powder Only. Mine doesn't have a patch box though, just a brass plate that's inset on one side. Maybe Ultra Hi...

    25 Years Later

Finally finished a kit that I purchased and started 25+ years ago. It was an inexpensive Miroku made 45 Kentucky kit that someone had started to butcher. Turned out pretty nice but good God the trigger feels like a 40 lb pull...🤣 Inlays are purple heart, walnut, and olive burl. With this...

    Truoil/Armorall - Anybody tried this

I saw an older post on a differant forum over the weekend. Looks like it was 10+ years old. Seems a guy accidentally applied original blend Armorall and Truoil to a stock he was refinishing. Not sure how that happens but... Apparently it vastly speeds up drying time and allows numerous coats...

    Thanks to Huntinshep

Just a note saying thanks to member 'Huntinshep'. In today's day-and-age, I'm always leary sending money for a weapon sight unseen but Don (aka: Huntinshep) is a stand-up seller. My particular purchase experienced some damage at the hands of the shipper. Don worked with me to get to a mutually...

    Philly Derringers?

Most were to repair damage or misdrilled holes. I found the main parts in a box of stuff from my late father in law. I also had to flute the barrel because of half sanded off roll stamps. I almost tossed it. I posted it a number of months back as it was progressing Fun project. Thanks for the...
