    Ballmoulds as rec9mmended is a great choice. I shoot a .735 on top of powder with wading on top . If I had to do it over I would have ordered a .737 or .738 mould to allow for the shrinkage at casting.

    Hi All S M R flintlock mainspring broke. Made by H.W. Robbins famous lockmaker. Any ideas suggestions for parts (doubtfull) or gunsmith. 40 cal . Read he hand forged parts or its not all hand made. Help appreciated. Was hoping to take this to am upcoming black powder shoot. Damn!

    Let's see how far down the Rabbit Hole this takes me....

    Beauty. 2 cents worth, I like to LIGHTLY sand the leading edge of the bolt. Lightly means 5 or 6 light passes on the corner edge. Then polish , I ise flits and a felt tip dremel. Just a new gun preventative medicine,keeps that scratch line from appearing on the cylinder. Takes 3 minutes.

    Just shot loose powder yesterday I wouldn't fill the chamber with powder that seems like it would be way too much just use the same amount as in your tubes 40 to 50 grain range I'm currently working out a load for my 59 carbine 2f or 3F 40 to 50 grains etc etc.
