Question - use of tow in rifles

Cost effective might be to grab a bundle of sisal baling twine. Usually treated to help prevent mice from chewing on it, I don't know if that would cause any issues. It would give you 9,600 feet of twine to play with though.

    Pan Powder for Flintlock Rifle

Personally, haven't noticed a significant difference between 4f or 2f as a primer. However I haven't spent the time shooting with both to actually see if I can't tell.

    powder differences

Have to say, I took the Charleville out last weekend for a few rounds and tried 2f in the pan. No difference to me compared to 4f. I believe many here run the same way.

Couple of questions on shooting Brown Bess

Duelist1954 has a good video on paper cartridges. As well as a follow-up shooting them. Cartridge kits to get started at basics http://veteranarms.com/ReproductionMuzzleloadersandFlintlocks/Cartridge-Making-Kits.html

SOLD Rifleman's Camp Knife Set (4 pcs.)

Are these stainless or a HC steel?

That would be a reasonable excuse to get the Charleville out for something more than exploding watermelons (which only takes one shot). Time and weather permitting.

Fairly, nothing. I, unfortunately, have no experience with barbecue. If anyone around the Ft. Wayne area would like to make recommendations, I'd be grateful.
