    Can anyone identify the animal used for this fur hat and the style it’s stitched?

    See attached images. What kind of hat is this? Looks like it’s got a long tail to one side hanging in front of the shoulder and partial cape on the back. Is this a certain known style?

    Looking for a starter flintlock $400-500 range. Will I find anything good at that price?

    Title says most of it. I haven’t seen many at that price except traditions but have seen a lot of negative things about them on here in the past when I was lurking. I’d like a longer barrel 33+ (just love the aesthetic haha) in 40 or 50 cal but not sure if I’m crazy to be looking for anything...
